Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full time permanent
Location: Eye
Shift Pattern: Work pattern of an alternating 7-day pattern including weekends, with each shift being 12 hours, averaging 42 hours per week over the two week cycle.
This is a hands-on role responsible for carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement across the site to ensure maximum plant efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Support plant start-up and shutdown procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Support Health & Safety and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in emergency breakdown callouts and overtime when required
Qualifications / Experience
- Qualified multi-skilled engineer with at least 5 years’ experience
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience within manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial environments
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Welding/fabrication experience beneficial but not essential
- Recognised apprenticeship, HNC, or HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
