Maintenance Technician

Job Type: Full time permanent

Location: Eye

Shift Pattern: Work pattern of an alternating 7-day pattern including weekends, with each shift being 12 hours, averaging 42 hours per week over the two week cycle.

This is a hands-on role responsible for carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement across the site to ensure maximum plant efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Support plant start-up and shutdown procedures
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Support Health & Safety and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in emergency breakdown callouts and overtime when required

Qualifications / Experience

  • Qualified multi-skilled engineer with at least 5 years’ experience
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience within manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial environments
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Welding/fabrication experience beneficial but not essential
  • Recognised apprenticeship, HNC, or HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
