Mobile Electrical Engineer

Mobile Electrical Engineer / Permanent / Thetford (with UK-wide travel required) / Salary up to £37,000 + Accommodation provided

Position 1 Recruitment is looking for an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our client – a well-established engineering company based in Thetford. The business is known for its specialist work in electrical systems used in performance and public venues throughout the UK.

Mobile Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring products meet stringent quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to interpret wiring schematics & layout drawings
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Strict adherence to Health & Safety policies, including Method Statements & Risk Assessments
  • Able to work with galvanised trunking and conduit
  • Must be physically fit & comfortable with working at height
  • Experience in similar work, including wire/cable termination & electrical assembly
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Be conscientious & neat with their standard of workmanship

A successful Mobile Electrical Engineer will ideally have experience working within public venues, along with a strong background in electrical maintenance and installation. Candidates should hold relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications and demonstrate good IT skills with strong attention to detail.

Additional desirable qualifications include City & Guilds 18th Edition, as well as LOLER, IPAF, and PASMA certifications—although training can be provided for the right candidate. Applicants must also be comfortable working at height and hold a full UK manual driving licence.
