Location: North Norfolk
Salary: £46,362 basic per annum (plus shift allowance)
Shift Pattern: 7 days on / 7 days off, rotating days and nights
Position 1 Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company based in North Norfolk, who are looking for an experienced Shift Engineer to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out effective fault-finding and repairs.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify potential issues and improve reliability.
- Work collaboratively with production teams and other engineers to resolve technical problems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise machinery performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a Shift Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer position within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience carrying out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
- A relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
- Flexibility to work a rotating days and nights shift pattern of 7 days on / 7 days off.
