Field Maintenance Engineer

Field Maintenance Engineer / Permanent / London (UK-wide travel) | Salary up to £45,000

We’re recruiting a Field Maintenance Engineer to carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on fire suppression systems across the UK, with a focus on sprinkler and water mist systems. You’ll ensure systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational while delivering excellent customer service.

Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must have full, unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide clear updates
  • Ensure compliance with safety, QHSE, and industry standards
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation
  • Participate in an on-call rota (after ~6 months)
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle

Requirements

  • Experience with fire suppression systems (sprinklers/mist preferred)
  • Good knowledge of industry standards and compliance
  • Level 3 electrical qualification (17th/18th Edition desirable)
  • CSCS card (or willing to obtain)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible for travel and on-call work

Working Hours

  • Monday–Friday
  • Optional weekends
  • On-call rota (1 week at a time, after training)
